Finland was the first country in Europe to launch a national metaverse strategy in December 2023. The objective is to play a key role in shaping the future of digital experiences, focusing on developing the Metaverse ethically and responsibly. This includes prioritizing privacy, user safety, and considering its overall societal impact. Helsinki XR Center is very excited to share this mission and initiate a new collaboration with Virtual World Society for building an inclusive, accessible and sustainable future for everyone through immersive reality technologies.
